Bilbao Underground
There are four underground
stations near the important sites of Barakaldo: Cruces (hospital),
Ansio (Bilbao Exhibition Center), Barakaldo (court of justice) and
Bagatza (church of Saint Therese). Going by underground is the
smartest option because you do not have to wait much time to get on
the Tube.
Besides, if you want to save
money, you can get a Barik card: thanks to that, you can buy a
monthly card, that is cheaper than buying the normal ticket every
day. The underground is the most modern and avant-garde means of
transport in Biscay.
Buses
In Barakaldo there are two
Bus services: a local service, K-bus, and the provincial service of
Bizkaibus. Both are very fast and useful, but they are not as quick
as the Underground. On the other hand, travelling by bus is a good
way to see Barakaldo. You can also use the Barik card and you can
save money.
Taxis
If you take a taxi, you can
go wherever you want. However, this is the worst option because of
their expensive fares.
